Purpose and goal
The goal of this project was to accelerate the development of sustainable mobility services based on connected and automated vehicles according to Drive Sweden’s roadmap. The focus was on activities in the Stockholm area, with main activity to coordinate and cross-fertilize ongoing projects, enable visibility and communication, as well as identify and target gaps and barriers. The goals achieved are: - Annual demonstration events in Kista - Creation of partner network for demo and pilot activities in the Stockholm area - Initiation of new projects
Expected results and effects
The project has organized yearly demonstration events in Kista, Stockholm, at some occasion combined with round table discussions with Drive Sweden partners. This has given exposure, visibility and communication opportunities with the public, increasing the awareness of the challenges in transport and the possible contributions that automation, digitalization and connectivity can bring. The project has led to new initiatives in research and demonstration projects. The project has created a valuable partner network for future collaborations and demonstration projects.
Planned approach and implementation
The partners went in to this project with several planned and ongoing activities focused on “Automated and Connected Mobility and Transport in Urban Environments”. The goal of Drive Sweden Test Site Stockholm (DSTSS), was to take advantage of synergies from these various activities and projects, coordinate the demonstration and communication and undertake practical activities for Test Site Stockholm.
