Important results from the project

ARI4Sweden has established a national arena for collaboration between industry, academia and research infrastructures. The project has established a governance structure with advisory bodies, as well as a national office. Communication strategy and internationalization work have begun. Overall, the project has laid the foundation for a more coordinated and cohesive ecosystem around research infrastructure in Sweden, where industrial relevance and academic excellence meet in practice.

Expected long term effects

ARI4Sweden is expected to contribute to a more strategic and inclusive utilization of large-scale research infrastructure in Sweden. Through the establishment of a thematic working method, entry-level environments and competence programs, structures are created that enable more industry-led projects, increased use of advanced methods and faster innovation. Strengthened collaboration between academia, industry and research infrastructure contributes to building long-term capacity and expertise.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented according to plan in terms of structure, collaboration and governance. However, there was a strategic shift from initiating specific themes to developing a general thematic framework. The change was made in dialogue with industry partners and the board, to better meet the maturity of the users and create a transparent, scalable model for future thematic work. The collaboration worked beyond expectations through weekly and monthly meetings and seven national workshops.
