Important results from the project
Sweden Innovation Days was a three-day conference 17-19 November 2020. This project included the arrangement of days 2 and 3. During the days, no less than 55 different sessions were arranged, for different target groups. The total number of visitors over the days amounted to 3344 people from 68 different countries. In addition, a tailor-made matchmaking was also arranged between innovative SMEs (135) and large companies (69) in 435 pre-planned meetings according to Ignite´s needs-based method.
Expected long term effects
At least 9 Swedish environments and 9 international engaged. We engaged 12 Swedish and 8 international environments. At least 80 international startups and 50 Swedish: A total of 160 startups were involved in the project, of which 135 received matched meetings. At least 50 large companies: 69 large companies participated in the matchmaking. At least 300 participants during the day 2 conference: The conference during day 2 was attended by 600 participants.
Approach and implementation
To increase bilateral collaborations not only between visitors but also Swedish innovation environments, we organized the event by actively engaging people from nine Swedish incubators and Science Parks to work on the project. The organizational model led to increased complexity, but the result was very good and gave birth to pride in the event and the realization that we can make a much greater impact together. Most environments have already planned further collaboration with the international environments they collaborated with during the project.
