Important results from the project

The project has identified the current collaboration structure between Boden municipality and civil society, important collaboration partners within civil society and system problems. A plan for a sustainable collaboration system between civil society and Boden municipality with a focus on public health and social sustainability has been developed. In the long term, the conditions for managing the unique needs in public health that exist in Boden municipality will increase.

Expected long term effects

In the long term, the possibilities for addressing the unique needs of Boden´s municipality in tackling complex societal challenges within a social perspective will increase. By allowing civil society to be involved at a earlier stage in the rapid societal transformation, increased opportunities for better decisions will be created. In the long term, there are possibilities to create more common arenas where actors from all sectors of society can meet for a sustainable societal transformation.

Approach and implementation

The overall structure was that we conducted three workshops. Workshop 1: Stakeholder analysis was conducted. Workshop 2: Around 40 participants from different associations and organizations participated to identify obstacles and opportunities for collaboration. Workshop 3: Compilation of the material that emerged from workshop 2, proposals for formalized collaboration were created.
