Purpose and goal
The purpose of the SQID project is to develop and verify a cleaning demonstrator that clean product parts with Qlean water that traditionally is cleaned with chemicals in manufacturing industry. Within the project a cleaning demonstrator, also called “the Qlean Machine”, has been developed and verified through cleaning test with dirty machine parts as well as oily test panels from RISE.
Expected results and effects
The developed Qlean Machine has been adapted for easy use that it only requires a normal electricity outlet and normal tap water. This facilitates that many different industries, small and large, have the possibility to implement the technology in their own facilities to reach a higher environmental performance in their manufacturing.
Planned approach and implementation
The SQID-project begun with developing the Qlean Machine based on the user requirements and customer needs. After some project internal tests real tests with dirty machine parts and oily test panels were performed. The SQID project and the Qlean Machine was also marketed in Ytforum (2016), at a Swedish Production Symposium (SPS-2018) and within NyTeknik (2019) in order to reach out to a broader audience.
