Important results from the project
The project was carried out according to plan and provided a very good network of contacts in the USA for further collaborations, both in research on materials and business opportunities. The experimental activities were completed and documented in technical reports, one for flow simulation and experimental trials to detect pore growth in carbon fiber during the flow of a matrix. The other documents manufacturing experiments as validation of the experimental/simulated process data.
Expected long term effects
In the long term, the project has created a network of contacts that can be used for both future research projects and business with the contacts made during the project period. It has also created an understanding of how voids form during the manufacture of composite components with Oxeon´s materials.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented according to plan, however, an extension had to be requested to complete the experimental parts of the project.
