Call US collaborations in AI, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity Stage 2

Purpose and goal

Projektet STRIDE is a strategic collaboration between AstaZero and the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) with the goal of establishing a world-class test capability for autonomous drone systems. By integrating UTA´s open research platform with AstaZero´s advanced control system and 5G infrastructure, an environment is created to validate how AI-powered systems maintain safe operation under controlled connectivity disruptions.

Expected effects and result

The project combines UTA´s open research platform and world-leading expertise in cyber-physical systems, with AstaZero´s advanced 5G infrastructure and control system. By integrating these resources, we are moving towards a test environment where AI-powered drone systems can be safely stress-tested under controlled network disruptions during flight.

Planned approach and implementation

The project´s main deliverables include an integrated research platform, a validated testing methodology for resilience of AI systems, and a physical demonstration at AstaZero. The project also strengthens long-term transatlantic collaboration between Sweden and the US.
