Strengthening Transatlantic Innovation Collaboration in Spatial Biomarker Discovery and Translation

Reference number
Coordinator Haga Bioscience AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration October 2026 - March 2027
Status Ongoing
Venture Preparation projects for international application within health
Call Deepened international collaborations for healthy and resilient societies

Purpose and goal

The project will establish the foundation for a partnership on spatial biomarker validation and translation. The project will establish the institutional, strategic and legal conditions for a deeper collaboration between Haga Bioscience AB and Imagenomix.

Expected effects and result

By 31 March 2027, the project will produce four concrete outputs: a signed MoU with governance structure and steering committee; a joint three-year roadmap for collaboration and validation-readiness; an IP and data governance framework for future EU–US work; and a funding strategy covering relevant EU, Swedish and US opportunities. These outputs will give the partners a practical basis for deciding what to validate, with whom, through which funding route, and clear IP conditions.

Planned approach and implementation

The project runs from October 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, across three work packages covering partnership development, governance, legal frameworks, and funding. WP2 prepares a GDPR-compliant framework through an EU–US data-sharing agreement. Gender equality is reflected in WP2 leadership by Morgane Rouault (CCO), with equal budget authority to the CEO. Future studies will include sex-disaggregated KRAS and ESR1 analyses. Deliverables include a joint roadmap, IP framework, and funding strategy.
