Important results from the project
The project´s objective was to develop and test a course concept that aims to strengthen the collaboration competence of researchers and teachers. The course was given on two occasions and was completed by 15 researchers/teachers and six collaboration support personnel from 12 different universities. Course design and content, as well as results of experiences from anchoring, organizing and implementing the course, are documented and disseminated via the course´s website. This is also presented in a report on this page.
Expected long term effects
The results point to three important prerequisites for developing collaboration skills; 1) the understanding of scientific thought models, 2) joint reflection together with individuals with different experiences, and 3) the possibility of transforming knowledge into practice. Participants report several concrete outcomes from the course, such as new assignments and services, strengthened professional identity and development of own courses based on the project. A couple of these courses have taken real form, and one has been completed.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out from March 2019 to August 2021. In the first step, we worked with quality assurance and anchoring in consultation with two reference groups. In the second step, we concretized the course concept, consisting of course syllabus, schedule and course literature and disseminated information about the course to reach potential participants. In the third step, we implemented the course in two rounds - autumn 2019 and 2020. In the last step, we analyzed the development work and implementation and disseminated results.
