Purpose and goal

The project will enhance Konvoj´s platform functionality to more effectively support strategic staffing decisions in health and social care. The goal is to develop features for simulating scenarios and efficient tools to compile and analyze their consequences. This includes, for instance, changes in operational needs, working time regulations, workforce size, and coordination-related scenarios.

Expected effects and result

The solution will be used by schedulers, staffing planners, and unit managers to support long-term workforce management. The output from the platform can also be used in communication and collaboration with senior officials and politicians, or to illustrate and justify strategic choices to employees. This provides a common basis for staffing policy decisions, makes the process more data-driven, and facilitates organizational alignment from employees all the way to politicians.

Planned approach and implementation

Five of Konvoj´s employees will primarily work on the project. Responsibilities for user research, conceptual design, project management, software development, and quality assurance will be distributed among them. The product development will be well-grounded in user research, and the work will be led using an agile project management methodology. The project is expected to run for 9 months.
