Project duration December 2020 - March 2022
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to address challenges to further develop the National Incubator Program. The project originally had three separate work packages with defined objectives aimed at clarifying and improve the follow-up of data/statistics from the program. In addition, the project has been expanded and supplementary objectives have been added, such as carrying out a complete collection of statistics and compilation for the financial year 2020 and finally developing a new system support to be used from the spring of 2022 and forward. All goals have been reached.

Expected long term effects

More or less all efforts are carried out on the basis of the predefined work packages (define maturation phases in an incubation process, create conditions for simpler, clearer and more accurate reporting and carry out a feasibility study for the development of a new system). Through additional decisions, extra components have been added to the project, which has meant that a complete collection and compilation of statistics for 2020 has been carried out, and finally a new system has been developed based on the completed pre study.

Approach and implementation

The project has been based on defined work packages with a responsible project manager who had additional resources and competencies to run the various work packages. We feel that the set up has worked well. Emphasis has been placed on the involvement of the incubators in the various work packages 1-3 and, of course, other stakeholders. This has given participation and ensured anchoring and acceptance among participating parties. For example, it was clear from the participants that they considered that the data series should not be changed but kept intact over time.
