Important results from the project
In the first work package, we have made it possible to have new services in our smart office application through the improved certainty of detecting small zones. In the second work package, we have made general improvements to the positioning accuracy that will improve the performance of all our products. In the third work package, the positioning has been adapted for forklifts and the positioning performance has been significantly improved.
Expected long term effects
The results of all work packages are expected to contribute to new products. The result of the last work package, forklift positioning, is already in use at a customer site and has made a significant improvement for the positioning performance.
Approach and implementation
The work packages that were completed have largely been carried out as planned. The big change happened after the company was bought by the US telecom company Verizon in the summer of 2021. After that, the priorities for the development work in the company changed and we submitted a change request. In this, two of the work packages were deleted and a new one was added to better reflect the new direction for the company.
