Important results from the project

It achieved the planned and set goals. Based on the activities, the program in Singapore provided Swedish SMEs with access to the Singapore market, with at least four tailor-made business meetings specifically curated based on the companies’ focus area, and also group meetings with leading stakeholders in the Singapore land mobility landscape (e.g. Comfort del Gro, Maritime Port Authority of Singapore, Economic Development Board, Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore).

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to create lasting impacts by strengthening Sweden´s network in Singapore´s mobility and technology ecosystem, enabling future pilot projects, market entry and collaboration opportunities for several Swedish SMEs. Insights into Singapore´s priorities in electric vehicles, the Internet of Things and autonomous transportation will guide long-term corporate strategies, while the foundation being built will support a stronger Swedish presence at major events.

Approach and implementation

Planning started in Q3 2024 with the objective of involving five SME companies and holding a mobility forum linked to the MoU between LTA and the Swedish Transport Administration. However, the schedule was postponed, the authorities´ availability was limited and one company withdrew late. The forum could therefore not be implemented, but the activities continued. The collaboration with Scania and Vinnova was strong, several meetings were held and the project also led to the signing of the RCA.
