Purpose and goal

Reglab is a forum for learning and about regional development, where regional developers, national agencies and researchers meet for knowledge and skills development. External evaluations show that: Reglab has strengthened the regions´ strategic abilities and prerequisites for conducting regional development. Reglab helps to increase the members´ ability to act knowledge-based. Reglab has strengthened the functioning of the regional development system and contributed to a better multi-level collaboration.

Expected results and effects

Reglab has carried out a large number of learning activities during the period - 6 learning projects, 4 development projects, 3 Annual conferences, Research Forum, 8 networks and a number of seminars and workshops. The foresight process, Region 2050, where a hundred regional developers and managers increased their knowledge of external analysis in the long term, has been an important focus. Through Reglab´s activities, the participants have increased their knowledge and ability, and their organizations have thereby increased their capacity to develop the Swedish regions.

Planned approach and implementation

Reglab´s learning activities are initiated by the members, ie regions and national agencies. It guarantees the relevance of the learning projects. Reglab´s members are deeply involved in the business - they initiate, plan and lead the learning projects, together with the office. Success factors include: Regional development actors are on equal terms. The platform is neutral and does not work with lobbying. The content is governed by the needs of the regions. Members´ commitment. A well-rooted philosophy for collegial learning.
