Purpose and goal
The project´s aim was to make possible a start of sales and revenue creation for the company by making the company´s first product more attractive than its competitors. Specifically, the target was to increase the product´s moisture adsorption capacity. This target was reached and the product´s current configuration has given the product a superior performance compared to competing products. Selling of the product was launched in september and the company has thereby started generation of revenues, which was the aim of the project.
Results and expected effects
The result of the project is that the company has managed to develop and launched a very competitive product on the market which can be used to generate revenues for the company. Expected effects from this are that the company now can increase revenues, reach breakeven and subsequently return profits, and thereon continue growing.
Approach and implementation
1. As a start, mathematical calculations and air flow simulations were made in order to determine the mechanical setup of the physical prototype. 2. Thereafter, constructors designed the prototype which was then manufactured. 3. In parallell, the steering system was developed further in order to be able to steer the machine properly. 4. Lastly, the prototype was installed, tested and evaluated in ´real´ customer environment.
