Purpose and goal
The project aims to strengthen children´s and young people´s learning and mental health in the long term by developing promotive systems where the school functions as a central and inclusive arena. The overall objective of the project is to develop sustainable, systematic and inclusive working methods to promote children´s and young people´s mental health, safety and participation, which constitute important foundations for their learning.
Expected effects and result
The goal is to achieve a new understanding of the school as a health-promoting arena, where children and young people actively can create supportive systems. The work is expected to lead to: Increased participation and influence of children and youth in school development and improvement. New approaches that strengthen the school’s role as a supportive and health-promoting environment. Improved mental health and greater well-being among students. Enhanced safety and a better school environment.
Planned approach and implementation
Through methods such as open policy, system design and service design, involve children and young people in shaping solutions based on their needs and perspectives. The project includes several levels – micro (individual and school), meso (municipality and region) and macro (national policy) – to create coherent and sustainable structures. Implementation: 1.
