Purpose and goal
Thin conductive layers commonly used in high voltage products. Goal of this study is to manufacture thin layers with smooth surface and edge structure. This is done by using ink based on small graphene particles. Smooth edge surface and edge structure of prints enables withstands higher electric field. Due to the price graphene is an interesting material in this respect.
Expected results and effects
This study shows that thin conductive layers can be printed using ink based on graphene. Samples achieved show smooth surfaces and edges. Parameter that influence the smoothness are investigated. In order to improve the print quality, further studies should be conducted.
Planned approach and implementation
Commercially available inks and homemade inks are used. The polymer substrates are pretreated with, e.g., corona, ozon, plasma treating to improve print quality. The electrical performance is tested by Partial Discharge Inception Voltage measurements.
