Important results from the project

The objective of this project was to plan and prepare an MSCA Doctoral Networks application focused on acoustofluidics in the life sciences. We have reached this goal by submitting our proposal ACoustofluidics for applicaTIONs in BIOmedicine and life sciences (ACTION4BIO) to the EU. For this application, we have established a strong consortium comprising seven beneficiaries and seven associated partners, each contributing distinct perspectives to acoustofluidics research.

Expected long term effects

Upon approval, our network will train a new generation of interdisciplinary experts to advance the science and application of acoustics and microfluidics in the life sciences. The network will build a cohesive research community, foster a shared scientific language, and equip emerging researchers with the skills and vision needed to translate groundbreaking discoveries into tangible impact. This will cement Europe’s position as a global leader in acoustofluidics research and its translation.

Approach and implementation

The project was carried out following the designed work packages. They include design of the proposal structure (2025-06-17 to 2025-06-30), proposal writing (2025-07-01 to 2025-09-15), proposal revision (2025-09-16 to 2025-11-15), and proposal submission (submitted on 2025-11-25). All the participants worked together and contributed to the proposal writing. Thus, the time plan was well followed.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
