Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The goal has been to develop a model for innovation procurement, adapted to smaller municipalities with aim to increase the power of innovation. The knowledge of innovation procurement as a tool for development has been significantly raised. The goal can, in essence, be considered fulfilled as different methods for identifying needs and early dialogue have been tested before the procurements, two of the three procurements have been carried out and a working model has emerged that has been disseminated to several other public actors.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** A results of the pilots is that four municipalities have acquired an innovative platform for borrowing and sharing resources more efficiently both within and between municipalities. There are also MVPs for brand-new, innovative digital services that meet public needs that should be commercially available in the near future. The various steps of the working model are documented and parts of the model are available through Ystad municipality´s website. The model is also disseminated by participating parties in a variety of seminar contexts.

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The process has been characterized by a learning-by-doing perspective where three innovation procurements has been carried out within the framework of the project. Apart from the fact that it has been a relatively slow process, it has been a process that has contributed to a lot of learning and that the goals have essentially been achieved. The project has also had a close dialogue with the Procurement Authority throughout the process, which has contributed to the Authority´s knowledge gathering on innovation procurement.
