Purpose and goal

The purpose is to prepare a proposal to EIC Accelerator to commercialize and scale up Veltio Pharmas´s sustainable nanotechnology. By solving the pharmaceutical industry´s major bottleneck of low solubility in drug candidates, risk in the development phase is reduced and drug performance and sustainability are improved. The planning project will validate the company´s scalability and regulatory roadmap and production costs while reducing environmental impact and improve patient benefit globally.

Expected effects and result

The planning project delivers three concrete results: a regulatory roadmap for EMA/FDA approval, a validated scale-up plan with techno-economic analysis, and a complete proposal to EIC Accelerator with pitch deck and video. The primary outcome is a competitive EIC proposal to secure funding for industrial scale-up. In the long term, this will enable improved patient benefit, reduced environmental impact, and strengthened European competitiveness in sustainable pharmaceutical formulation.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is being implemented in three parallel work packages June–November 2026. AP1 (regulatory mapping) is carried out in collaboration with an external consultant and delivers a regulatory roadmap and gap analysis. AP2 (technical de-risking) is being implemented with RISE and validates scaling up via techno-economic analysis and process modeling. AP3 (EIC-proposal) compiles and quality reviews the complete proposal, pitch deck and video ahead of the deadline in November 2026.
