Coordinator Stiftelsen Chalmers Industriteknik
Funding from Vinnova SEK 300 000
Project duration December 2025 - March 2026
Status Ongoing
Venture Global cooperation 2025
Call Planning grant for international proposal 2025

Purpose and goal

The objective of the project is to write a successful application to CETP for a multi vector approach for industrial-urban heat symbiosis (IUHS) and aims to advance clean energy transition by enabling IUHS through multi-vector, low-exergy energy systems. It contributes to increased energy efficiency, reduced fossil dependence, and strengthened circularity for important industries by integrating waste heat, renewable electricity, and district heating into a resilient, climate-neutral system.

Expected effects and result

The expected outcome of the planning project is to submit a successful application to CETP. The expected outcome of the main project is to create scalable and cross-sectoral energy symbioses, increase energy efficiency, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and strengthen Europe’s path toward climate-neutral heating and cooling by 2050.

Planned approach and implementation

The project includes the following WPs: WP 1: Idea and Project Development WP 2: Consortium Task Development & Reference Group Building WP 3: Application Writing and Submission
