Purpose and goal
Vinnova planning grant will support the preparation and strengthening of the “BREAKFAST: Plant breeding for resilience in European agroecosystems with a knowledge-based G×E×M structure to achieve multi-stress tolerance in oats” euro project proposal led by SLU. The planning grant is crucial to hold a workshop to assemble the consortium, plan the budget, prepare the project and support grant applications while strengthening sustainability and gender equality aspects within this short timeframe.
Expected effects and result
We plan to develop a competitive grant proposal led by SLU, to strengthen the proposal and increase funding opportunities. We aim to strengthen the commitment of international partners and involve more actors. An important eligibility requirements in the EU-call for proposals is to use a multi-actor approach: interactive, interdisciplinary, co-creative and inclusive. Thus, there is a need to involve researchers, farmers, food companies, consumer associations, civil society and government.
