Important results from the project
The goal of the project was to develop a project to apply for funding from the Horizon Europe-call in spring 2026. The project brought together new partners, including innovative start-ups, and developed new ideas and strategies. Important synergies were identified. This planning project has led to new networks in which Sweden has a coordinating role.
Expected long term effects
The planning project will lead to new exchanges and new research projects. If the Horizon Europe project is funded, this will lead to better care for those living with HIV, a better allocation of resources and the promotion of innovative start-up companies.
Approach and implementation
The project developed largely according to plan. Just when we received the grant, a more thorough analysis of the call text was done and questions arose about whether we were within scope. The first few months were therefore spent investigating this before the planning finally started. This led to the pilot study being financed in a different way and more funds being spent on planning. With partners from different backgrounds, minor conflicts arose, which ultimately strengthened the project.
