Purpose and goal
The purpose is to prepare a competitive application for the EIC Accelerator 2026. The goal is to further develop Safety Bolt’s sensor technology to at least TRL 6 through a pilot demonstration in a real-world environment, thereby demonstrating its potential to improve safety and sustainability in wind energy and infrastructure.
Expected effects and result
The project is expected to result in a validated pilot prototype, documented field verification of functionality, and a completed EIC Accelerator application. In the long term, this will contribute to international growth, improved industrial safety, more efficient maintenance, and reduced environmental impact through longer lifetime of critical components.
Planned approach and implementation
The project will be carried out in three steps: 1) further development of the pilot prototype, 2) testing and verification in a real wind-turbine environment together with partners, 3) preparation of the EIC Accelerator application in collaboration with an external writing consultant. The work is led by Safety Bolt with support from WSI and other partners.
