Important results from the project

Yes, the project´s objective was largely met. The project contributed to increased knowledge about circular mass management at a system level and to the development of practical support in the form of guidance and checklists. An in-depth study of the social aspects has been carried out, which has also led to new project applications together with municipalities.

Expected long term effects

In the longer term, the project is expected to contribute to more feasible and accepted circular mass management. The results can lead to earlier and more systematic integration of circular solutions in planning and decision-making processes, reduced goal conflicts and more effective collaboration between municipalities and other actors. The project also forms a basis for further application, scaling up and method development.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented through a combination of needs analysis, case studies, dialogue and shared learning between municipalities, authorities, researchers and private actors. The work included workshops, exchange of experiences and analysis of practical examples of mass logistics areas. The results were compiled in the form of a guide and checklist as well as a film as support for planning, dialogue and implementation of circular mass management.
