Purpose and goal

We’re developing the next generation of pattern technology that enables fashion brands to create garments on demand – perfectly tailored to every body. Through smart automation, we replace warehouse shelves with algorithms and lead the fashion industry into a new, sustainable era.

Expected effects and result

The project will result in a working prototype that automatically adapts garment patterns to individual body measurements. This marks a first step toward digital and sustainable fashion production, reducing overproduction and returns. In the long term, the technology can transform how clothes are designed, produced, and consumed – creating a more efficient and inclusive textile industry.

Planned approach and implementation

The project is carried out in two stages: first, we develop the method – together with Chalmers Industriteknik – that makes it possible to translate body measurements into digital garment patterns. Then, a first working prototype is built. The technology will be tested with companies aiming to shift towards more sustainable and flexible production. The goal is to demonstrate how the fashion of the future can be both smarter and more sustainable.
