Purpose and goal
The purpose of NLSDays is to build an effective platform to market the best we have of Swedish and Nordic life science to a relevant audience from around the world with a focus on investment, partnering and networking and to inform about and discuss important topics with great influence on the industry´s future. The goal of the conference was to increase the number of contacts, partnerships, business and investment both within the region and internationally. The objectives have been achieved and the number of delegates and participating companies has increased significantly.
Expected results and effects
Central to the goals of the business conference is the efficiency and quality of the partnering system. When compared to other major international meetings, the acceptance rate is very high at NLSDays partnering, which indicates that our conference attracts the ´right´ people and companies. This year´s figures (2014 in brackets) is as follows: meeting requests in the partnering system: 9500 (7700), Scheduled meetings 1940 (1600), Licensing opportunities 540 (490).
Planned approach and implementation
The conference is organized in the center of Stockholm and runs over two days and consists of the main programme, company presentations, exhibition and partnering meetings. The central geographic location is appropriate and get great appreciation. The organizers have allowed other organizations to take responsibility for selected sessions in the main program, which has resulted in a diverse and high quality conference program. The opportunities for corporate and investor presentations have attracted relevant actors and partnering meetings have been filled to the last seat.
