Purpose and goal
The project has contributed to increased collaboration between RISE and Chalmers in the area of innovation and sustainability transition. This is achieved by improved relationships between employees at RISE and Chalmers developed through networking meetings, mentorship and a joint project. The project manager has improved her skills as supervisor and the project´s participants have increased their theoretical and practical knowledge in the field, for example transformation of the energy system and industrial transformation.
Expected results and effects
The project has been successful and has contributed to develop the network and relationships between researchers at RISE and Chalmers. PhD students at both organisations have had the opportunity to get to know both other doctoral students and senior staff, which has been useful during the project and facilitates future collaboration. Increased knowledge and competence in research supervision contributes to an improved situation for both doctoral students and the supervisor and improves the conditions for higher quality of research.
Planned approach and implementation
During the course of the project, Kersti Karltorp has developed her ability as a supervisor by taking courses in research supervision and by having Professor Anna Bergek as a mentor. Together, Karltorp and Bergek have organized a network for doctoral students at the two organizations, which have been greatly appreciated by participating doctoral students. During the project, a joint project was carried out with people from both organizations. Currently, a scientific article is written and a first draft of the article was presented at a scientific conference, in the spring 2019.
