Purpose and goal
At this stage of the project we have produced a dozen of prototypes (reference design) of Minimum Viable Device (MVD), based on the most interesting technologies in the industry, chosen in the UDI A (feasibility study). Based on this we have started to develop a software architecture that shows the potential to be adapted in various industry verticals such as: health, transport and logistics. Meanwhile, we have created a software demo application that shows the ability to manage the distributed cloud architecture, with MVD as an intelligent gateway between the sensors and the WEB.
Results and expected effects
We have developed a framework consisting of prototypes (reference design) of MVD and an open software architecture that has been developed and tested in various industries: health, transportation and logistics. m-Health: A pilot project for heart failure patients has been executed together with Region Skåne and Sony Mobile. Transportation: MVD has been used to collect data from regional traffic busses and used in a developer event (hackathon). Logistics: We have delivered an architecture, consisting of sensors and MVD and software for analyzing parameters in a test environment.
Approach and implementation
Together with Sony Mobile, Sigma Connectivity, Skånetrafiken, Region Skåne was developed and tested MVDs ability to process and collect data. The data was then tested to ensure that using the MVD framework, could be processed, sent to servers that analyze, make statistics, and return the key information using own open APIs, applications, and services installed on MVDs software architecture, currently based on Android operating system.
