Purpose and goal
We believe that we have fulfilled the goals of the study in a satisfactory manner and we are pleased with the various activities that have been carried out within the context of the study. We are also happy to have been able to test thoroughly our premise with all our potential partners. Also, the knowledge and the many important contacts that we have gained in the process will be of tremendous value to us in the implementation of the project. We feel that we have accomplished a good base, so that we relatively quickly can start a grassroots network which can act as partner to Public Service.
Results and expected effects
We have gathered 22 grassroots organizations and have started to work together towards a joint network. We are also in contact with another 30 plus organizations that in various ways will be part of the the network. We have worked out the basis for twenty norm-critical, innovative pilot projects. We have written a report on the preliminary study that brings up conditions, plans and consequences of a potential Me Public Service - Network. The preliminary study has initiated many internal processes through the carried out activities, especially within the managerial level at the SVT.
Approach and implementation
To visit four different regions in Sweden and firmly establish the preliminary study was a factor for its success. It showed our commitment in making the study a national concern. The opportunity to invite the participants and engage in conversation during two full days, was decisive in the quality of the report of the preliminary study. We are somewhat dissatisfied with the engagement within the SR and UR. There is a level of competition between the different companies and it was harder than what we first thought to find an overreaching collaboration around questions of diversity.
