Purpose and goal
The purpose and goal of the project, with personnel and financial resources, create good conditions for Malmö University to reach out with its research results and knowledge assets in an increased utilization and commercialization from the university. This is done through innovation consulting and coaching, in the work of optimizing the opportunities for researchers, teachers, doctoral students and students, to develop ideas towards societal benefit in the form in which it has the best impact.
Expected effects and result
The project will provide opportunities for new important innovations to be developed at the university. We will see more opportunities for utilization and commercialization in research areas where we have not yet had so many projects. The strategic investment from the university regarding our research centers will contribute to the fact that the interdisciplinary research conducted there will provide new research discoveries, which in turn will be developed into increased societal benefit.
Planned approach and implementation
We divide the assessment of applications as follows: Decisions up to SEK 75,000 are handled with internal decisions. Decisions over SEK 75,000 are made after review by a VFT panel consisting of representatives from Innovation Actors in Skåne and Mau holding company. If necessary, we will also engage colleagues at other universities´ innovation offices to get their assessment of the initiatives we propose to make, in order to take the idea further towards utilization and commercialization.
