Purpose and goal
Future by Lund is an innovation platform that targets challenges and opportunities related to smart city development built on collaboration and partnership. Our goal has been to solidify Future by Lund, its structure and new working procedures. Operative project work is managed outside the core of the platform, which calls for new working methods related to themes, projects and specific challenges with specific drivers to facilitate the participation of partners. We have reached this goals and established the platform as well as secured funding for the next coming three years. Key focus areas has been: -Growth of innovation culture -Developing FBL methodology Forming Knowing Doing -City Testbeds -Plattform projects and partner konsortie projects -International connection -Longterm financing of FBL -National collaboration We can see the effects from our work through new methods, constellations, partnerships and strengthened positions for development and innovation as well as implementation of projects and learning. The work has been organized through steering committee, operational team, team leaders, focus groups, specific projects & different players connected to Future by Lund. The joint leadership has been linked to the innovation methodology FormingKnowingDoing. This has supported us in contextualization and to see where we do the most good, as well as to take responsibility for delivery and learning. Our core values has been a helping tool when dealing with complex problems and competitive positions. A strong communication and storytelling has also been a foundation.
