Important results from the project
The objective of the feasibility study is to make a detailed planning of a R&D-project consisting of a Life Cycle Assessment of different tanning methods (vegetable tanning compared to chrome tanning). The participants in the project consist of Tärnsjö Garveri (tannery using vegetable tanning), Skofabriken Kavat AB (shoe producer using vegetable tanned leather), Nordeconsult Sweden AB (environmental expertise within tanning field) and IVL, Swedish Environmental Research Institute (expertise in LCA).
