Important results from the project

The project´s aims and objectives have been achieved. Verbala Stigar´s unique concept has evolved and adapted with a service design for an international well defined market. For Northern Ireland, a pilot has been developed, as well as a working model that is also adaptable to other international markets. The project has developed a scientific summary of the unique approach of the Swedish preschool. A concept of Swedish preschool has been developed based on proven experience and scientific basis as well as international comparisons.

Expected long term effects

Through cooperation - research, service design and entrepreneurship - the project has conceptualized Swedish preschool for an international market -´Playing learning preschool´. A method for service design for internationalization of Swedish preschools has been developed. A concrete plan has been completed which allows an establishment in Northern Ireland. The method of Verbal Stigars concept; ´RUS´ has been further developed. The project results have been widely spread at international conferences and in Swedish magazines. The attention has contributed to a book contract.

Approach and implementation

The project design was based on three execution blocks; conceptualization of Swedish preschool, identification of Verbal Stigars unique concept and competencies, and market adaptation and concept design. All blocks have been implemented, although some have required more time compared to the original planning. Results have been achieved in implementing all the blocks in accordance with the project´s purpose. The collaboration between academia, preschool and consulting firms has provided new approaches and new ideas which have been successful for the project´s outcome.
