Important results from the project

We exceeded the targets for the period and are pleased with the increased inflow to the Innovation Office and, above all, the increased outflow from the universities. VFT funding has enabled us as universities to make more use of more research areas. VFT has enabled discussions with research groups in all areas and even though we do not use VFT in many cases, it is a good door opener.

Expected long term effects

A better flow of knowledge from universities into society and a better ability of actors in society to be able to receive the knowledge. Ultimately, a better society where knowledge is valued and where we together increase the benefit to society both through commercialization and also in other ways.

Approach and implementation

IF an idea is to be validated and if funding is needed, we compile an internal proposal. The validation projects are discussed in the innovation advisory group (with the innovation advisors from all 6 universities). If they agree that it is the right activity, the proposal is taken up in a decision-making group with one representative per university. There were too few characters available for this box, but we are happy to develop the process and how it quality-asserts the decisions.
