| Status | Ongoing |
Purpose and goal
The immediate purpose of the project is to attend PDAC 2026 to meet key partners—from technical decision-makers to potential co-developers. The goal is to raise awareness of Atium´s patented solution for mercury removal from sulphuric acid. This is a strategic step to initiate industrial pilot projects with international mining and smelting companies.
Expected effects and result
An expected result is to establish contacts that lead to on-site pilot projects with international mining and smelting companies. These collaborations will validate the technology in real-world industrial settings and provide critical operational insights. The long-term ambition (3-10 years) is full-scale installations in regions such as Canada, Latin America, and Australia, which will enable smelters to produce clean, marketable sulphuric acid.
Planned approach and implementation
Atium will identify and contact key companies before PDAC to schedule meetings. The presentation material will be tailored to emphasize the economic and regulatory relevance of mercury removal in North America. Technical briefs will be prepared for concrete discussions about demonstration projects. The execution targets process engineers, environmental managers, plant operations executives, consultancies, technology integrators, and investors.
