Important results from the project
Yes. Our goal was to identify and initiate communication and collaborations with smelters and/or companies operating smelters. This went very well: we visited all smelter-related companies at the trade fair and received strong interest in our technology. New contacts were made, including contact details for more relevant decision-makers. We believe this could lead to future pilot projects. A new customer segment was also discovered in gold extraction and refining.
Expected long term effects
The contacts we have established give us a very strong entry point for carrying out future pilot projects. Conducting pilot projects is an extremely important proof point on the path toward selling full-scale systems to our potential customers.
Approach and implementation
The first part of the project involved identifying which companies at the trade fair had a clear connection to smelters relevant to our technology. The second part involved visiting the trade fair, speaking with the relevant companies, and presenting our technology. In the final stage of the project, we worked on following up with the contacts we made at the trade fair.
