Important results from the project
Blocked pipes, lack of capacity and additional water are major challenges in municipal sewage networks. Common to all the above-mentioned problems is that they require human resources, expensive skills and equipment that is used according to a sub-optimized schedule. This project aims to develop a robust technology solution to collect data in the aim to facilitate the proactive maintenance of sewer systems. The result is technically verified prototypes and proven applications of the solution in the water utility sector.
Expected long term effects
Water utility organizations will have better control of their pipe networks, reduced number of emergency stops of blockage, improved effect and economy of flushing rounds. Reduced number of grease plugs means an improved working environment for field personnel who work with VA. Reduced number of basement floods and streamlined upstream work. Intended use cases have been verified. Flow Below is very positive that the solution will contribute to the above.
Approach and implementation
1. Design and development. June - September 2. Prototype tests. September - December 3. Field tests. December - May The project was carried out according to plan. Field tests started early, which meant that we had time to get the experience we were looking for in the project before the postponed schedule.
