Important results from the project
The overall purpose of the project was to provide new insights into the future product development process for swedish companies. The purpose was fulfilled through an interveiw study of about 30 swedish companies and through studies of both academic- and practice-oriented literature.
Expected long term effects
Expected effects is first and foremost to stimulate a debate about how swedish companies can improve their new product development processes in the future. The result is also a full scale application to Vinnova together with about 10 companies, where key themes from the current report are explored in depth.
Approach and implementation
The analysis combines interviews, academic literature and practice-oriented literature. Emerging results have been presented in a variety of different forums, and the end results was presented at a workshop at Vinnova 28/8 2013 that was visited by 50+ persons. The combination of methods provided insights into the future product development process of swedish companies.
