Important results from the project

The overall goal of the project is to develop a new highly efficient fuel-flexible biogas heating system in the capacity range of 300-3,000 kW with near zero emissions. All goals and milestones in the project have been achieved. The work carried out has shown that the new HiEff-CBC technology has the potential to define a new technical standard for gas and particulate emissions and achievable efficiencies. With the successful integration of a 3-way catalyst in the new combustion technology with low emissions, a relevant technical milestone has been achieved.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** Particulate emissions from the new technology with values below 5 mg / MJ are extremely low and are usually 10 to 20 times lower compared to conventional biomass roasting plants. The particulate emissions are far below the relevant limit values for wood fuels without the need for additional flue gas purification. In addition, the NOx reduction is about 80-90%, which is significantly higher compared to conventional SNCR systems (about 60-70%). The low NOx emissions (approx. 10-20 mg / MJ) are far below the strictest relevant limit values.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** According to the job description for WP1, effective routines for information exchange have been established between the parties in the project. Communication was based on regular internal project coordination meetings, MS teams and telephone meetings to discuss technical details and to coordinate the ongoing work. Minutes from all meetings including lists of actions for all partners have been prepared and distributed by the BIOS. BIOS and POLY have developed a patent application for the new gas burner with integrated 3-way catalyst.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
