Purpose and goal

The main objective of the feasibility study is to investigate the possibility for a fixed demonstration test facility in Sweden, which can offer possibilities for validation of new and more cost-effective pavement, constructions, maintenance and technology solutions in a real traffic environment.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will initially start with an international outlook on how some test-road facilities are operated today. Thereafter, the focus of the feasibility study is to highlight possible business models and modes of operation of a demonstration test facility, which includes the financing in start-up phase and also during the operation phase. The feasibility study will also explore opportunities for international cooperation and business.
