Call Impact Innovation: Implementation project for a reformed public sector

Purpose and goal

The aim is to establish a renewed and strengthened role for the actors who constitute the local health promotion system for children and families in Storfors. The project takes on the challenge of renewing and strengthening the health promotion, preventive and early interventions that are currently carried out in preschools, family centers and other everyday environments. The goal is to create social and health values in the long term, and reduce future needs for community interventions.

Expected effects and result

The project is expected to create an example of a smaller municipality, which in collaboration with the region has initiated the system change required for a resilient transition within a promotion system, a system that is based on knowledge about what makes individuals develop well, feel good and strengthen or maintain their physical, mental and social well-being. The project is also expected to result in anchoring and support at the political level for a health-promoting support system.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be implemented in collaboration with Region Värmland and RISE and is divided in five work packages with a focus on a systematic approach that recognizes early signs of ill health and translates them into coordinated efforts within existing assignments and frameworks. Officials and elected officials will receive knowledge and support to integrate the approach in regular activities and develop capacity in systems leadership, design and decision support in complex environments.
