Important results from the project
The project achieved its goals. ENCCS helped several Swedish companies and public organisations access European supercomputers for applications in AI, robotics, materials science and research. We organised the NordicHPC Summit 2025 and strengthened collaboration with European competence centres. Our open training materials on GitHub now include 77 lessons. The results strengthen Sweden´s innovation capacity in high-performance computing.
Expected long term effects
The results contribute to a sustainable Swedish HPC ecosystem. The networks with European competence centres will continue into the next project phase (EuroCC3) from April 2026. The open training materials on GitHub remain available and build HPC skills in Sweden long-term. The NordicHPC Summit has been established as a recurring event and is expected to continue in some form depending on future budget. ENCCS is positioned as a permanent resource in Sweden´s digital infrastructure.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out according to plan with activities in training, industry support and network building. The timeline was followed well. An important change was the transition to a new project manager in November 2025, which was handled smoothly. Collaboration between RISE and Linköping University worked well. Regular team meetings and steering group meetings ensured good coordination. No major unexpected events negatively affected the project.
