Purpose and goal

The EQUAL MOVE project improves accessibility and inclusion in future mobility for the elderly, people with disabilities, and individuals without private cars in Sweden and the USA. Through mobility data analysis, workshops, and collaboration between research, industry, and authorities, user-centered solutions will be developed to promote equality, digital participation, and sustainable transport. The goal is to create concepts and policy recommendations that can be implemented in practice.

Expected effects and result

The project delivers mobility data analyses, workshops and a white paper with policy recommendations. It develops inclusive concepts for shared and automated mobility and establishes a transatlantic network. The impacts will be increased accessibility, gender equality and digital inclusion, strengthened collaboration between research, industry and authorities, and a long-term platform for sustainable transport solutions.

Projects consists out of 4 work packages: AP1: Data analysis in order to identify barriers and enablers linked to age, disability, geography and digital competence. AP2: Two workshops (digital & IRL) with users, transport actors and interest groups to develop inclusive mobility concepts. AP3: Development of concepts and strategies for electric and autonomous vehicles with a focus on accessibility and user-friendliness.
