Status Completed
Venture The strategic innovation programme Electronic Components and Systems:

Purpose and goal

The project has delivered in accordance with the goal of completing a manual for the production of manufacturing documentation for electronic hardware. The purpose is to help with clear and uniformly designed documentation that streamlines the dialogue between the designer and the manufacturer and it gives a quality assurance of the ordering process.

Expected results and effects

In the long term, when the manual is used by many, the manufacturing documentation is right from the start and this leads to shorter delivery times and increased reliability for Swedish manufactured products, which strengthens the competitiveness of Swedish companies.

Planned approach and implementation

The working group that produced the handbook consists of representatives from companies and organizations that together represent all parts of the value chain involved in the production of electronic products. The group´s width ensures that all aspects are covered and thus guarantees the usefulness of the manual. Gathering a large group of people from different organizations is also a challenge and the work has been extracted over a longer period than originally planned.
