Purpose and goal
The project idea for the proposal focuses on innovative technologies for adhesives, coatings and sealants in combination with pretreatment alternatives, aiming to reduce energy consumption and thus manufacturing costs for the automotive industry in Europe. The overall goal of the planning project is to further develop the project idea and consortium, the work plan and industrially relevant business cases in order to submit a proposal to Horizon Europe.
Expected effects and result
The project´s objective is to complete a competitive Horizon Europe-proposal to the call for proposals HORIZON-CL4-2027-01-MAT-PROD-02: Advanced manufacturing for key products. Key activities in the planning project include meetings to specify industry involvement for the project, consolidate the project idea and business case, define leadership roles, and strengthen the project´s degree of innovation in collaboration with academic partners.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is divided into three work packages with aims to first of all to complete the project consortium with additional industrial partners, then deepen the conceptualization of the main project from state of the art to the implementation of the project and finally writing the project application that will be submitted to Horizon Europe.
