Purpose and goal
The purpose and goal of this project was to develop a hand prosthesis with a high level of functionlality in size and weight adapted for male, female and chidren users. The project have proved that this is possible and that the result will be made available. Working prototypes for the smallest and most challenging size is available, the three other sizes will follow in near time.
Expected results and effects
The result of the project is that prosthesis adapted in size and weight for men women and children will be available as soon as possible. This will improve quality of life for many people that would not have an adapted prosthesis.
Planned approach and implementation
The project have been a cooperation between Hy5, a norwegian SME and Prevas a swedish consultant company. The project setup have been very much successful. Two part that have been more challenging than expected are: 1 - A new and rapidly developing SME and a consultant company with a high need for efficient use of resources. 2 - Sending equipment across the border have caused problems almost every time Comment on 1: Planning and efficient use of resources have been challenging in a long project with a highly varying resource need.
