Purpose and goal
The project aims to form the DUDE consortium and develop a competitive proposal for the EDIP IRA 2nd Call, Platforms and End-Products, by 16 February 2027. The goal is a complete, submitted EDIP proposal enabling a Nordic-European programme that deploys dual-use manufacturing technologies into validated defence applications, with a total main project value of SEK 112 million.
Expected effects and result
The project delivers five concrete outputs: a validated DUDE concept through 11 structured actor dialogues, at least five Letters of Intent from three countries, a technical basis including a Valmet Norway PoC specification, a business case, and a complete EDIP proposal submitted by 16 February 2027. The longer-term effect is a funded Nordic-European deployment platform that strengthens EU defence supply chain sovereignty.
Planned approach and implementation
The project runs across three work packages over nine months. WP1 (June-September 2026) delivers 11 structured discovery dialogues and Letters of Intent. WP2 (August-October 2026) produces the technical basis including the Valmet Norway PoC specification and production capacity mapping. WP3 (September 2026-February 2027) develops the business case and EDIP proposal with EU grant writing support from Strata. CIT coordinates; H2T leads WP1 and contributes to WP3.
