Important results from the project

A cutting-edge incubator in digital health and solutions for the public sector has been further developed as part of DigitalWell Ventures´s comprehensive offering from early innovation to expansion. The ACCESS methodology and the Demand Acceleration concept create better conditions for startups to collaborate with the public sector and make it easier to implement innovations. Focus on regulatory issues strengthens startups´ credibility and competitiveness in the market.

Expected long term effects

In the long term, the project is expected to contribute to a sustainable innovation system where the public sector takes a more active role in developing new solutions. Methods such as ACCESS and Demand Acceleration can inspire more regions and industries to use the public sector as a strategic market. Focus on regulatory issues increases trust in digital health services, while networks and collaborations strengthen Sweden’s position in digital health innovation and public sector solutions.

Approach and implementation

The incubation was built around digital business development, mentoring support from the public sector, and a focus on regulatory issues and innovation procurement. A key element was the DigitalWell Innovation Council, where region, municipality, academia and innovation actors contributed with validation and feedback. The setup has resulted in a structured process from idea to market, tailored for collaboration with the public sector and integrated into DigitalWell Ventures’ startup offering.
