Important results from the project
The project aimed at validating the viability of a digitalisation of the the laundry and dry cleaning industry, where the intended service was aimed at increasing the availability of laundry and dry cleaning services to customers by offering a completely digital customer interface through a mobile app and by offering to door delivery. During the project, an MVP (minimum viable product) in the form of an app has been developed, which constitutes the actual contact area with the customer and where the customer places his order.
Expected long term effects
During the project the service has generated a satisfactory number of orders, which speaks for a further development of the service and, above all, of the infrastructure behind the service in order to validate and secure expected positive side effects such as creation of new jobs, but above all, in terms of extensive environmental benefits where the company already as part of the project was able to work out a structure that could significantly reduce water consumption and emission of chemicals and microplastics in the water drain compared with other services as well as domestic laundry.
Approach and implementation
The founding team has exclusively implemented the project themselves, with very little external input. All technical infrastructure has been developed internally, without use of external consultants, and is thus owned by the company. The customer based developed during the project for the purpose of validating the viability of the service has been recruited through cost effective marketing efforts, which also have been executed solely with internal expertise.
