Important results from the project
The project largely delivered on the objectives set at the outset. The coaching methodology was strengthened, and approaches for encouraging companies to apply to Produktionslyftet’s programmes were further developed. The organisational structure was also reinforced. In addition, the project helped strengthen external credibility and secure long-term industrial co-funding, while also fostering stronger collaboration with related initiatives and generating new contacts and research findings.
Expected long term effects
In the longer term, the project is expected to strengthen Produktionslyftet’s ability to reach a greater number of manufacturing SMEs with quality-assured development support. This may lead to enhanced capacity within industry for continuous improvement, renewal and transformation, as well as stronger links between coaching and training, improved national and regional collaboration, and greater long-term stability through increased legitimacy and industrial co-funding.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out through three work packages: methodology development; structure and communication to reach companies; and strengthening of the organisation and quality assurance. The work was closely integrated with day-to-day operations and developed progressively. The timetable was adjusted in part to reflect companies’ availability and differing regional conditions, but collaboration functioned well overall and the project was completed with good results.
